This week was pretty great. Although it has been even hotter down here. On Saturday it finally rained. We are hoping that that cools things down a bit but we´ll see.
We had a conference with Elder Valenzuela. We had to take a bus the night before to make sure to be there on time. It was awesome. We learned a lot about how to work better as missionaries. I also learned how much potential there is in our mission. I came back with more energy to work! I also got to play the piano there so that was fun.
This week we have found so many great people. There are so many willing to hear the Gospel and accept it. One thing I have really gained a testimony of is how important it really is to go to church. Going to church is what qualifies an investigator as progressing. It´s what helps those who are less active become active members of the gospel. Why is it so important? The Sacrament. I love going to church to see all of the members there. I love the classes because we get to learn more about our Savior and how we can become more like Him. But the part that I have come to love is the Sacrament. Those are the most important moments of the whole 3 hours. It is a sacred time that we have to remember Him.We have the opportunity to receive revelation. And those are the moments that we can start our week over again. I don´t know if I´ve shared this before but I love reading the Sacrament prayers. There is such power in those simple words that are often taken for granted.
2 And they did kneel down with the church, and pray to the Father in the name of Christ, saying:
3 O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it; that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him, and keep his commandments which he hath given them, that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
