2/16/15 the sacrament

Hola Familia!

This week was great. We had rainy days and today is feels like the middle of summer. The weather here never lets you get bored.
We had a great experience with an investigator. His name is A. He didn`t want to come to church because he felt like it was a big step. He just wanted to keep learning. So we took him to the church building on Saturday so that he could see it and feel a little more comfortable before going. We also took a returned missionary to the appointment. The best part was when we walked into the Sacrament Room. There a peace so calming there. I wanted to stay forever! Later, he told us that he still wasn`t sure about going. So I reminded him of that peace that we had felt. I told him it was like a little bread crumb of what we really can feel and what we are all looking for. The feast at the end of the trail of crumbs. We just need to keep following those bread crumbs. He came to church!!!!
We also have another investigator that went who will be baptised this week! E. He is so prepared but has a lot of opposition from his family. However, we have been seeing miracles from that because their hearts are being softened. We tried singing to his wife the other day for Valentines Day. She said no but we got to talk to her for a bit. We are also having Stake Conference this week so we might be having a stake baptism. We`ll see how that goes.
Just wanted to share something that I learned with you all, as always. I love reading the scriptures!
I read when Christ came to the Americas and how he set up the sacrament. But something that I learned about it is that the sacrament is a commandment!
12 And give unto you commandment that ye shall do these things. And if ye shall always do these
things blessed are ye, for ye are built upon my rock.
Taking the sacrament every week is not just a habit or a good idea. It is something that the Lord has asked us to do to show Him that we are willing to remember Him always. And He gives us one of the greatest blessings that we can ask for in this earthly life. He promises to send us the Spirit which will lead you to all the secrets of returning to Heavenly Father and eternal happiness. Who doesn`t want that!?
One more point of news. We heart-attacked President Swapp`s door in the offices for Valentine`s Day. It was fun 🙂
Happy Valentines Day!!! (Sorry it`s a little late)
Con muchìsimo amor y un abrazo de oso
Hermana Chapman
